HANGAR 4, COOLAMON
Disability Friendly
An accessible architectural hideaway immersed in the Australian bush, this Hangar blends clean Nordic simplicity with the raw beauty of its surroundings.
Wrapped in pale timber and anchored by natural stone, the space feels both expansive and deeply calming. The soaring curved ceiling draws the eye upward, while floor-to-ceiling glazing frames a living canvas of native trees, shifting light and open sky. Every material has been chosen for its warmth and honesty, creating a retreat that feels quietly luxurious rather than overtly polished.
At the heart of the cabin sits an oversized soaking bath, offering a distinctly spa-like experience with uninterrupted views across the landscape. A generous rain shower, wood-burning fireplace and king bed dressed in natural linen invite long, unhurried days where the only agenda is slowing down.
Thoughtfully designed as accessible accommodation, the Hangar features step-free access and a spacious, open-plan layout that allows guests of varying mobility needs to enjoy the space comfortably, without compromising on design or experience.
Outside, the mood shifts from sanctuary to campfire. Gather around the sunken fire pit with a glass of red as dusk settles over the bush, or spend the afternoon stretched out on the curved timber seating, listening to the sounds of the surrounding forest.
There is something unmistakably Australian about the experience – the scent of warm timber after summer rain, the silhouettes of gum trees at sunset, the chorus of birds at dawn and the feeling of being completely removed from the noise of everyday life.
Minimal yet tactile. Refined yet grounded. This is a place designed for deep rest, long conversations and the simple luxury of time well spent.

Solid timber dining tables overlook rolling green hills and native bushland, with uninterrupted views stretching to the horizon. As the sun drops behind the ranges, the pavilion becomes a place to linger – firewood stacked high beside a sculptural fireplace, the scent of timber smoke in the air and the changing colours of the landscape providing the backdrop.
Thoughtfully designed as a shared space for guests, the pavilion captures the spirit of the Australian countryside: open, relaxed and deeply connected to its surroundings. It’s a place for conversation, celebration and the simple pleasure of watching the day unfold across the valley.

Warm timber decking extends into the landscape, inviting guests to move between heat, fresh air and expansive views across the valley.
As the sun sinks behind the ridgeline and mist settles into the surrounding bushland, The Hinterland Spa becomes a place for stillness. Soak beneath wide country skies, unwind in the gentle warmth of the sauna, and embrace the restorative rhythm of nature.
